Coolpeds is a company from, yes, West Covina, CA, that makes lightweight, electric scooters that can have a bag attached to the handlebars for storage. Weighing just 11-pounds, and with the attachable bag removeable for easier folding, the scooter can move up to 15-miles per hour. Apparently, Coolpeds also makes a line of different luggage styles that can be attached. The scooters are controlled via a pressure sensitive trigger that will activate the electric engine.
In the lifetime of the company, about eighteen months, Coolpeds has sold about $500,000 in scooters. Each scooter costs $170 per item landed and retails for $399 direct to the consumer online.
But that's not all! Apparently Coolpeds wants to get into the car business also. They demonstrate a fully electric sports car that the entrepreneur claims is "highway ready". Pre-orders for the car will begin later in the same year and the car will retail for $9,900.
Perhaps still feeling burned by Zero Pollution Motors, Robert declines to invest in Coolpeds, as do the rest of the sharks and the entrepreneur leaves the tank without a deal.
